ABOUT
AgentK is the producer and songwriter for the artist known as Mary J Wanna. Originally born, Ke'Andra Shantelle Marie, is a multi-instrumentalist, counselor and podcast host.
Ke'Andra started her musical career, by first learning how to play the drums. After learning the basic, she then sparked an interest in the piano at the age of 9 years old. She began taking traditional piano lessons, but found it very complicated and confusing. She then moved towards learning how to play the alto saxophone, in the 6th grade band class. She continued to play the saxophone throughout college and eventually, became an assistant section leader and was selected to serve in the National Honorary Band Sorority, known as Tau Beta Sigma.
Ke'Andra started playing the piano again around the age of 14 and started creating and composing her own songs. Ke'Andra is gifted at adapting and learning how to play instruments quickly and accurately through playing by ear or feeling the music.
Ke'Andra joined her first band in 2008, DubAddis, a reggae band touring in North Carolina. She provided alto and tenor saxophone as well as background vocals. This encouraged Ke'Andra to follow her dreams and passion to start her own band.
Ke'Andra started her first band, Good Vibes, in 2012 touring in the Virginia region for 3 years. From there, Ke'Andra was recruited to play in various ensembles including but not limited to: Guitarist in The Sesil Jenkin's band ;Bass Guitarist in Rock Band to name a few.
Ke'Andra began writing and producing her own songs as a SoundCloud artist under the alias MaryJWanna. She released her first EP available on all streaming platforms.
